Matthew 5:14-16 Jesus said to his disciples: "You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill top cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp to put it under a tub; they put it on the lamp-stand where it shines for everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine in the sight of men, so that, seeing your good works, they may give the praise to your Father in heaven."

       CHORUS:
We are very, very shiny people
       Jesus made us very bright
With the spirit he baptised us
Filled us with his holy light
       Shiny, shiny
       Very shiny people

       We shine in the night
       We shine through the day
       We shine whilst we work
       We shine when we play
       Shiny, shiny
       Very shiny people

       CHORUS

       He gave me the light
       He gave it to me
He told me to burn it
       For others to see
       Shiny, shiny
       Very shiny people

       CHORUS

       He said "Keep it bright"
       "Don't hide it away
       People will need you
       To show them the way"
       Shiny, shiny
       Very shiny people

       CHORUS

       He gave it to me
       He gave it to you
He wants you to use it
       And burn brightly too
       Shiny, shiny
       Very shiny people

YOU are very, very shiny people
       Jesus made YOU very bright
With the spirit he baptised YOU
Filled YOU with his holy light
       Shiny, shiny
       Very shiny people

We are very, very shiny people
       Jesus made us very bright
With the spirit he baptised us
Filled us with his holy light
       Shiny, shiny
       Very shiny people
