Luke 8: 1-3 "A sower went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell on the edge of the path and was trampled on; and the birds of the air ate it up. Some seed fell on rock, and when it came up it withered away, having no moisture. Some seed fell among thorns and the thorns grew with it and choked it. And some seed fell into rich soil and grew and produced a crop a hundredfold."

      Jesus said:
      A sower went out sowing
      He scattered lots of seeds
But as the crops were growing
A lot were choked with weeds
Some were burnt and some grew big and strong
The birds ate some and so we sing this song:

      Some fell on:
      Solid ground, solid ground
This is what the birdies found
They ate it up, then flew around
Solid, solid ground, solid solid ground
It fell on solid ground, solid ground
      Solid, solid ground

      Some fell on:
      Rocky ground, rocky ground
They had no roots, they were not bound
The sun came out and burnt them down
Rocky, rocky ground, rocky, rocky ground
It fell on rocky ground, rocky ground
      Rocky, rocky ground

      Some fell on:
      Thorny ground, thorny ground
With lots of bushes growing round
The weeds came out and choked them down
Thorny, thorny ground, thorny, thorny ground
It fell on thorny ground, thorny ground
      thorny, thorny ground

      Some fell on:
      Soily ground, soily ground
They grew and grew and spread around
The leaves grew green, the crop was sound
Soily, soily ground, soily, soily ground
It fell on soily ground, soily ground
      Soily, soily ground
